Faery Song
Quintessance of unbridled youth That warms the cockles of my heart,
Great lug, elixir of my soul, Whose honey lips remove all
cares,
Whose arms encompass me-fold me,
When your great measured
strength is spent
And all my sighs the last gone by,
Into the deepest reaches of
That sultry warmth, and let us
rest
Assured, and sleep the sleep of ages.

HIGH GEAR
CINEMA BENEFIT
CLEVELAND On May 24, the G..E.A.R Foundation held its second community center benefit at the New Mayfield Cinema, 12300 Mayfield Road. One hundred and fifty-four members of the Northern Ohio gay community donated $5.00 and up to see "A Very Natural Thing." Patrons who paid $15.00 were served a full course dinner, donated by area activists from numerous organizations. James Harmon, 'Don Schmitt, and John Kelsey among others were patrons who kindly gave large financial donations. Everyone attending received a glass of champagne.
After expenses, the benefit netted the Community Center Fund $448.19. This amount

added to the $254.42 gathered from the Shaker Club benefit in April gives the Foundation a grand total of $702.61 plus, of course, any additional income from June's High Gear.
Particularly noticeable at the benefit were the large contingencies of gays from other Northern Ohio areas Akron, Canton, Ashtabula, Warren, and Sandusky.
The G.E.A.R. Foundation wishes to thank all of those who found the time and made the financial sacrifice to attend both benefits. Your support has given the Foundation a large enough working budget to make the Community Center a reality. It is a Center, we hope, that will serve all of Northern Ohio.
